Christian Patterson
Christian Patterson was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and lives in New York, New York. Photographs are the heart of his work but they are often accompanied by drawings, paintings, objects, video or sound in both book and exhibition form. His 2011 book Redheaded Peckerwood won the Recontres d’Arles Author Book Award and his 2015 book Bottom of the Lake was widely named one of the best photography books of the year. Patterson is a 2013 Guggenheim Fellow and winner of the 2015 Vevey International Photography Award. He is represented by Rose Gallery in Santa Monica and Robert Morat in Berlin.
