Justin J Wee is a Chinese-Malaysian and Australian visual artist creating photos, videos, and performance. His practice spans a wide variety of subjects from portraiture to still life to documentary, which also require different approaches stylistically and experientially as the work is being made. He prides himself on his malleability in all situations and ultimately works to capture the magnitude and magnificence of both the human and inanimate elements in front of him. He was a 2023 Artist-in-Residence at the Center of Photography, Woodstock and is a two time Young Guns finalist ('18 and '20).
